PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

  • Member of American Phytopathological Society since 1960. Served as chairman of Illustrations of Plant Pathogens, Teaching Committees, and Private Practice Committee August 2001. Attended most annual and some international meetings since 1960.

  • Member of Pacific Division of American Phytopathological Society.

  • Served on California Pest Control Advisory Committee as representative of California State University, Fresno. Chairman of two sub-committees and member of others. This committee developed tests and training for Pest Control Advisors.

  • Past member of Board of Directors of Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) and served on the education and nominating committees. Organized a task force for CAST on importation of pests and represented the American Phytopathological Society in this position.

  • Member of Teltech - A Nationwide Technical Knowledge Service to Industry.

  • Director of Education for the California Agricultural Leadership Program since 1988

  • Certified arbitrator of American Arbitration Association, membership currently not active.

  • Gave invited papers at International Phytopathology meetings.

  • Gave seminars to many major universities and national phytopathology meetings on forensic plant pathology.

  • Invited to give Forensic Plant Pathology Seminar to the University of Arizona graduate students and faculty September 2001.
